Višnjanska škola astronomije 2007  Pozdrav svima! Upravo sam se vratio sa VSA. Mogu samo reći da je bilo odlično i da preporučam svima koji mogu neka odu. Kao što znate bio sam u grupi NEO (Near Earth Asteroids). Voditelji su nam bili Stefan Cikota i Reiner Stoss, Nijemac, astronom amater, ali radi na Astronomskom institutu u Heidelbergu. Došao je na VSA iz Njemačke sa motorom, nekim Kawasakijem. Koristili smo dva teleskopa Meade Schmidt-Cassegrain od 30 cm sa CCD kamerama, teleskopi dosežu 20. magnitudu!!! Iako smo imali samo tri vedre noći na Mallorci, uspjeli smo potvrditi 4 asteroida, od toga smo potvrdili jedan NEO objekt te smo time suotkrivači tog objekta. Izmjerili smo komet McNaught i poslali u MPC (Minor planet Center) te smo onako bezveze snimili M27 (Dumbell).
Predzadnju noć smo napokon otkrili asteroid, ali nismo ga slali zato što moramo imati dva promatranja u razmaku od pola dana da se potvrdi da nije hot piksel ili tako nešto. Htjeli smo ga snimiti zadnju noć, ali teleskopi su izgubili koordinate i izgubili su se, trebao je neko doći tamo i usmjeriti ih u neku zvijezdu i dati mu kordinate. To nije napravljeno, a mi smo sljedeći dan morali ići kući, tako da sada čekamo da vidimo dali će ga neko srediti pa da ga snimimo (glupi roboti). Svaku noć smo radili do 7 ujutro, svako jutro tradicionalno smo išli na krofne i onda spavati do jedan popodne. U grupi smo bili Zagorac, Međimurac, Istrijanka, Splićanka i ja Slavonac, tako da nam se najlakše bilo sporazumjeti na engleskom. Grupa meteoraša je spavala na Tićanu u kupoli ispod metarskog teleskopa, Robotska grupa je automatizirala novu kupolu i pisala program za to i neki za meteoraše. Light pollution grupa je brojala lampe po Višnjanu i okolici i pravila neke modele svjetlosnog zagađenja. Od predavanja je bilo od Mariija Jurića o sudarima galaksija i SDSS-u (Sloan Digital Sky Survey), bilo je i od braće Cikote o ekspediciji na La Sagru i Koradovo o vanjskom dijelu Sunčeva sustava. Zanimljivo je da će na Tićanu ako nastavi ovako svjetlosno zagađenje, postaviti zrcalo sa zlatnim premazom, zato jer zlato sprečava valne duljine svjetlosnog zagađenja ili tako nešto. Ali onda će se moći promatrati točno određeni objekti. Bilo je i predavanje od Ivana Đikića o najnovijim istraživanjima raka i liječenju, to nije bilo za nas nego za sudionike Summer School of Science, ali smo ipak i mi slušali, obrađivali smo slike sa argentinskog teleskopa Cerro Burek u potrazi za Transneptunskim objektima i ludo se zabavljali. {mos_smf_discuss}
